CISTO ESSENTIAL OIL
Pimpinella Anisum L.
ASK FOR SPECIFIC PRICES, AVAILABILITY and / or QUALITY
The Cistaceae family includes about 20 species of evergreen shrubs, appreciated for their abundant flowering. The flowers, similar to those of the wild rose, are simple and delicate, with five flattened petals and stamens, often very showy. They bloom from April to early summer and last only one day. They prefer siliceous or acidified soils and regions with a mild climate, as they do not tolerate winter cold. They are plants that spontaneously hybridize with great ease. Sometimes specimens, which were considered new species, on closer examination turned out to be spontaneous hybrids.

The essential oil of Cistus is obtained by steam distillation of plants and appears as a viscous orange-yellow liquid (which browns when it matures due to the presence of the Resinoid Labdanum) with a warm and sweet herbaceous-musky scent.
